Review of
Cave of the Word Wizard from

This is by far one of the best
interactive educational games to come
down the road for the C-64. It even
talks!!!
Your child has several options at the
start. He can choose the level of
difficulty and pick a word list. He
can also choose his character to move
about the cave (either a boy named
Mark or a girl named Becky).
Once into the cave, he must avoid
dangerous cave creatures such as
spiders, snakes, scorpions, etc.
There are rocks and holes to jump
over, ladders to climb, and crystals
to find. Of course, there is the
Wizard.
When the Wizard appears, he asks your
child to spell a word. If he spells
it correctly, more energy is added to
his flashlight, and he can continue
exploring the cave.
The speech is top notch and easy to
understand. If you are not sure of
a word, pressing F7 repeats the word
for you.
At $39.95, it is well worth the price.
